​What are the expectations and benefits for Club Team members?

• Club Team expectations:

  • $100 annual dues.

  • ​Volunteer at and/or participate in the Roadeo.

  • Purchase at least one current Frontiers Racing complete kit (skinsuit or jersey + bibs) in our next team store order (ETA late spring 2026) .

  • Represent Frontiers in local rides and races with class and care.

  • Communicate with the team in a constructive and timely manner via the team Slack workspace.

  • Attend the Frontiers Racing annual team meeting (usually held in December in Missoula; may attend in person or virtually).

• Club Team benefits:

  • Access to discounts with our partners. 2026 partners and discounts are currently being finalized and are likely to include, at minimum, equipment and shop support, nutrition, and apparel. For more information, feel free to reach out to us.

  • Access to the Frontiers Mentorship Program.

  • Eligible to check out equipment from the team equipment library (bike travel cases, tools, wheels, etc.) as available.

  • Potential access to race reimbursements and/or travel fund as team budget allows (Elite Team has priority).

  • Potential access to team support for target race travel planning and logistics.

  • Access to the team Slack workspace.

What are the expectations and benefits for Elite Team members?

• ​Elite Team members have the same expectations and benefits as Club Team members, as well as the following additional expectations and benefits in bold:

• Elite Team expectations:

  • Volunteer at and/or participate in the Roadeo.

  • $100 annual dues (scholarships available).

  • Represent Frontiers in local rides and races with class and care.

  • Attend the Frontiers Racing annual team meeting (usually held in December in Missoula; may attend in person or virtually).

  • Communicate with the team in a constructive and timely manner via the team Slack workspace.

  • Race in current (2026) Frontiers kit. We are moving to a new kit provider from 2026 onwards which means a kit refresh and more accessible custom pricing for our members. (Old kit = training kit.)

  • In addition to 1 skinsuit provided by the team, order adequate 2026 team kit for your 2026 race calendar.

  • Participate in at least 1 of 2 Frontiers-led highway cleanups.

  • Start at least 2 road events on the Elite Team calendar and 5 total races in 2026 in current Frontiers Racing team kit.

  • Be a team player and follow the agreed-upon race strategy to the best of your ability. Team goals > individual results.

  • Demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship and train/race with the safety of yourself and others as top priority.

  • Be a good ambassador for the brands and businesses partnering with us.

  • Complete and maintain current SafeSport certification.

  • Requests to guest ride with other teams must be submitted to the Board well in advance.

• Elite Team benefits:

  • ​Elite Team members in good standing with the team are eligible and will be prioritized for end-of-season race expense reimbursements.

    • Reimbursements depend on team finances at the end of the year and are not guaranteed—see full race reimbursement policy here.

  • Elite Team members will receive 1 skinsuit provided by team in our first 2026 team store order.

  • Access to discounts from our partners. 2026 partners and discounts are currently being finalized and are likely to include, at minimum, equipment and shop support, nutrition, and apparel. For more information, feel free to reach out to us.

  • Elite Team riders are eligible for scholarships to waive membership dues.

  • Access to team equipment library (bike travel cases, tools, wheels, etc.) as available.

Who should apply?

• We encourage anyone in Montana or neighboring states with interest in the team to apply. While applying does not guarantee a spot on either team, we will review each application carefully and try to find a place for everyone.

• All current Frontiers Racing riders as well as prospective team members must apply for our 2026 roster.

• Please note: All categories and ages are welcome to apply, however, junior applicants must contact us at frontiersracing@gmail.com in addition to submitting an application; we will discuss options and feasibility for supporting juniors on a case-by-case basis with parent/guardian involvement.

Why require applications?

• Requiring applications is our way of making Frontiers Racing more accessible, inclusive, and responsive in 2026. While that may seem counterintuitive, cycling is inherently insular and Montana’s geography only compounds this fact. As we grow, gain momentum, and offer increased support, we believe it’s critical to stay true to our mission of making racing more accessible for Montana and the Pacific Northwest. Opening up applications allows us to consider riders from around the region who are looking to develop in the sport. The application process also gives current Frontiers athletes the opportunity to apply for membership at the level (Elite or Club) that best suits their goals and level of engagement.

Where do membership dues go?

• All funds from membership dues are used to further Frontiers’ mission of making bike racing more accessible and providing development pathways for Montana athletes. This could look like funding end of year race reimbursements or travel assistance, offsetting the costs of kit, etc. Note that need-based scholarships may be available to offset these dues for Elite Team members. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Board if you need assistance covering membership dues.​

Which team—Elite or Club—is the right fit for me?

• Please read through the expectations and benefits of each level of membership listed above. If you are applying for either level, you must be willing to meet the expectations of the Club Team—note that Elite Team members have additional expectations and benefits.
