 2026 Reimbursement Policies

Note: “Race Reimbursements” apply to event registration fees only. Race Reimbursements are not travel reimbursements—see the “Travel Fund” section below for more information regarding travel reimbursements.

RACE REIMBURSEMENTS

  • Eligible Riders. To be eligible for race reimbursements, riders must:

    • ​Be an active member in good standing on the Frontiers Racing Elite Team.

    • Wear current Frontiers Racing jersey or equivalent (skinsuit, vest, etc). Riders may wear kit from the previous season or neutral kit if necessary at the start of the season if the first team order has not yet been delivered—riders are encouraged to borrow kit until they receive their own.

    • Register and race under the Frontiers Racing team name. In 2026 our team name with USAC is Frontiers Racing. This must be completed both on the USAC website and during any race registration process.

    • Write and share a race report for each applicable race on the team Slack under the “Race Reports” channel. Bonus points for sharing photos!

  • Eligible Races. Eligible races are those approved by the board. Eligible races may vary from year to year and will be communicated to the team in late 2025.

    • ​Riders must start a race to be eligible for race reimbursement. There is no placing or finishing requirement.

    • All USAC-sanctioned Road and Time Trial races are eligible for race reimbursement.

    • Non-USAC-sanctioned Road races may be approved at the discretion of the board.

    • Non-road races such as CX, MTB, Gravel, Track, etc may also be approved for race reimbursement at the discretion of the board.

  • Reimbursement Process.

    • At the end of the season, Frontiers Elite Team Managers will request that Frontiers Elite Team members fill out a spreadsheet of races completed in order to calculate race reimbursement amounts. 

    • It is the sole responsibility of Elite Team members to complete their reimbursement information in a timely manner. Reimbursements will be paid via check.

  • Reimbursement Amount.

    • ​Riders are reimbursed for race registration fees at a rate of up to $50 or the cost of registration, whichever is less, for non-stage races. Stage races will be reimbursed at a rate of up to $100 or the cost of registration, whichever is less. Any reimbursements for race travel, lodging, etc. are separate and funded by the Frontiers Racing Travel Fund (see below).

    • Reimbursements will be paid in the following order of priority:​

      1. ​Road races (up to 5 per Elite Team member)

      2. Non-road races (up to 2 per Elite Team member)
         

TRAVEL FUND

  • Reimbursements for the costs of travel for Elite Team members to significant board-approved team events will be paid out at the discretion of the board at the end of the 2026 season as the team’s budget allows. The Travel Fund does not guarantee reimbursements for travel to team events, but we will try to support you as best we can. We hope to be able to partially or completely fund team housing for select target events as direct support rather than end-of-season reimbursements.
